Project Overview
Being developed as a holistic community, Vaarivana features a host of innovative facilities and amenities. The project includes Clubhouse, Football ground, Cricket Ground, Multi-faith meditation zone, Jogging, and Cycling tracks along the ring road. The south part of the project consists of 1,107 no.s of Villas, a Sales office and Infra Network, North part consists of 1,050 villas and an Infra network. The design elements included a Water supply network, Drainage Network, Stormwater network, and Electrical Network.
Challenges
The project has large contour difference which was nearly 80m as the start was at hill and end was near to river, hence steep slopes resulting in scouring of storm carriage system.
Excessive treated water from sewage treatment plant was challenge as the volumes was high and continuous.

Solution
Cascading / stepping effect was provided with certain deep pockets to arrest the silt and regulate the increased velocity resulting in controlling the scouring of drainage.
There was a non-perennial stream with non-uniform cross-section, which was lined naturally with vegetation to accommodate the excessive storm water and enhance the beauty of project.
The sewer was planned in such way that the loading was emphasized on laterals than mains.
