Project Overview

Manhattan Loft Gardens is a 42 story, 143m tall, mixed use tower in London and includes hotel and BarThe Stratford. The tower structure includes a seven-story podium structure that houses a 248-key hotel and amenities. The structure is most distinguished by the three sky gardens that take the form of completely open notches cutting through the building at levels 7-10, 25-28, and from level 36 to the roof.

  • The dramatic tower form and notches are made possible by a unique system of hybrid steel perimeter trusses and post-tensioned concrete outrigger transfer cantilever structures, incorporated into the floors immediately above the notches.
  • The design meets high UK environmental standards (Code for Sustainable Homes level 4 and BREEAM A paper by Dmitri Jajich published in The Structural Engineer won the 2019 Murray Buxton Award.
